Ladies & Gents, the REAL/OFFICIAL 2014 facelift here>>>>
Cadillac and Lincoln used to own the premium market and they kept catering to the base with big sloppy cars and one day they woke up and realized their customers were all dying.
If you look forward, BMW and Audi have a great advantage because they own the future with the 3 series and the A4.
What MB does in the next five years will determine if they will remain the premier brand or not.
If you are an investor, BMW is a better bet long term than Daimler
.... then I decided to keep the extra cash in the bank and Lease a 5-Series.

Congrats, big upgrade from the Targa and a Porsche 911 TT is the epitome of timeless.

Agreed for the most part. However, they are handy in any crowded parking lot where people (and possibly their carts, strollers, etc) are zigzagging between cars looking for their own car. Folding mirrors always save potential damage in these scenarios. They are more useful than they appear.
Well,
not so fast. Foldingirror can actually invite far more serious damage to your car if you think about people running with their shopping carts between cars. Folding the mirrors opens up the gap between the cars to invite someone to go thru with the cart and scrape your paint.
Folding mirrors really are needed when you need to maneuver your car in tight garages between cars and pillars. I have parked in places where the car would not fit without first folding the mirror on one side.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Back to MB concern, I like to see more cars coming in different classes such as CLA . May be MB becomes pioneer once again and other Teutons follow its paces . I refer to CLS , when it first came out other brands also tried to replicate what MB did . Audi A7 , BMW 6 Coupe .
However, keeping traditional MB customers is a must I dare say . This is why as much as MB should make new models they should not try to reinvent the tire by getting rid of the traditional MB grill and the logo on the hood
For ex : W222 S65 AMG models should have a proper grill as W221s does

You should join the Porsche Club of America. They have a lot of track DE days. It lets you get the most out of that monster in a safe environment.

With the luxury and sport differentiation (star on hood vs star in grille), this car should appeal to a much wider audience. It's awkward in photos but it presents nicely in person.
do you have any pics or can you get any pics?

Looks insanely aggressive, pretty damn cool so far.
IMHO, Chevy matured the design of the corvette. Unlike MB that threw away the Quad lamps on the E and gave it the feel of a lexus. MB tried to play it safe where chevy took it too the next level.
Also, Chevy addressed the complaints of the "cheap" interior and redesigned it using higher quality materials and leathers. We will see when it appears in the fall.
I still love my W212, but I was thinking about a Porsche for a second car. Now, I may wait until the fall and take a test drive in the new Sting ray.
just me though
