towing
Interesting question.
I wish MB USA had an E class tow package option like they offer in Europe. There you can get a factory tow hitch that is rated for 4600 or 4800? pounds AND it folds in under the vehicle when not in use. So, it doesn't look like cr@p for 99% of time you aren't towing. Plus, the activation cable is located inside the vehicle so it doesn't get dirty,
Any Europe members know if that can be ordered/ cost? Any of you installed that / had it installed after the fact (not as a factory option)??
MB US wants to push us all to the ML class but sure wish they offered a nice E class factory tow hitch!!

Here's a picture of my buddies set-up. He had the W210 E320 and pulled 2 motorcycles, those 2 in front of it, all over the U.S. with this thing. Motorcycles weighed around 1200lb combined and trailer probably 800lbs. So 2000lb rolling weight was no problem for the E320. I'm sure the newer ones is just as capable.
