Hi guys,

Im gooing to m'y dealer today to choose a new (2nd and with Max 5000kms) car for m'y wife.
She like the E class sedan or cabrio and the SLK.
For the E class, what motor do you think its the best in diesel and what option need the car to be realy good?

In diesel , E350 CDI that engine is a beast
However, E250 CDI also performs satisfying as well as delivering better fuel eco

 

I am looking forward to the E250 motor hitting the states next year so I can compare to the 350. Unfortunately here it doesn't look like it will be a choice between the 2, just a replacement of the 350..

 

That's weird and I see no point of cancelling E350 . E250 performs well but 0-100 wise there is more than 1 secs between E250 and E350 .

A friend said E350's N/A engine will be replaced with twin turbo and downsized ,may be this happens like that

1.8 liter twin turbo engine that is used in W176 A Class makes about 6.5 secs 0-100 km/h , W212 makes it around 7.6 secs
Torque is 310 Nm
