I have only had my A7 for 2 months, however, zero problems.
Absolutely terrific automobile.

18 months and 25k miles and I have had zero issues with my 2011 E-Class.
Quite frankly I think Consumer Reports "survey" is BS. The should stick to house lamps and microwaves. They look at cars like sewing machines.
What I find interesting is how can Toyota be in so many top spots when they are facing yet another recall? The Toyota shop mechanics are pretty busy so there must issues with them.
Just my 2 cents ....

Porsche 911 Turbo S 2014! E63S 14, Audi S8 13, CLS63 12, E550 12, C63 09, all tuned
Statically all cars today are very reliable. The difference is now what car has the least lowest problems. Higher volume cars have a statical advantage.

Only one year's results
You have to consider that many CR car ratings have an asterik beside them. This means they only have data for one year. Believe the A7 falls into this category.
They do require 100 responses for a model before they will post a rating, so that is pretty high. CR may not be perfect, but it is probably the most reliable rating system around due to its size and how long it has been around.
BTW, W212 has returned to Above Average on predicted reliability.
Most cars today are reliable for at least a year or so and many for longer than that.
