rims question..
Hi everybody! I'm new here, but had time to notice that there's a lot of interesting threads and people![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm going to buy new wheels on my car (W212 with AMG style package). These wheels will be: 19"inch / 8.5 width in front; 19"inch / 10width - back.
So, my questions are
1) what will be the better offset for these rims?
2) which tires size better to go with? 235/35; 275/30 or 245/35; 285/30 ?
3) Do I need go to lower the car? Or these rims will look fine without lowering?
Thanks in advance)

front 35et, rear 40-42et.. 235/35, 275/30.. you will appreciate the extra sidewall for protection on crappy roads. Also LOWER THE CAR.. looks better.

OP is talking about 19" wheels not 20", correct? If so, the correct tires are 255/35-19 front and 285/30-19 rear. Front offset for 8.5" wheels is around et35 (+/- 3mm) and rear for 10" is 10mm more than front - et45 (+/- 3mm).

With this set-up will the car need to be lowered to look right? Ready to pull the trigger on a set of Vossen CV1's and don't really want to lower the car or jump up to the 20's since it's a daily driver at ~100 miles / day. Will the above combo fill out the fender well or leave a large gap similar to my stock 18 split spokes? (Running a 2011 E550 RWD)

ThreeMBs: Your sig says you run 19" on your '12 4Matic. Do you run 255/35 all around or do you run this particular setup above? Where you located?

correct, but id change the front to 245/35, not 255.. especially if he wants to lower the car. Hes just going that much closer to the fenders.

My exact setup on Es is: front 255/35-19 on 19x8.5 et38 (offset can be as low as et33 with no issues for non-lowered, like mine, car with et35 as best) and rear 285/30-19 on 19x9.5 et43 (but IMO et40 would be better).

Not IMHO, but I'm in minority here.
Agree for a daily driver - 19s only. I switched from 20s to 19s for that reason.
IMHO it will look a lot better than stock - a. wider tires on wider rims and b. most importantly - much more aggressive than stock's offsets.

This is 2010 with 255/35 & 285/30. Have same wheels on 2012 with 245/35 and 275/30 (those came from my former coupe) - will upsize to 255&285 once these will wear off.

255/35 front, 285/30 rear - as i unerstand it's a stock tires for E63 (correct me if I'm wrong) In my opinion it's too wide for 8.5j

You da' man! Thanks for posting the pictures, that is exactly what I needed to see even better on a white car like mine! Can you post a tight angle picture from the side to see how close you are to the fenders? Thnx again.
