Only MBs - the best or nothing
Agree with bigigg on offsets - just about perfect. I would use only 255/35-19 & 285/30-19.

That front tire size is recommended for a 9'' rim not an 8.5'' like i will be getting. Should be ok, right?

Yes. 9" wide rim is an industry standard measuring width for 255/35 size. The tire itself can be mounted on 8.5-10.0 range wide wheel.

The reason I posted those tire sizes is because I have them on both my Es on identical width wheels as above - no issues. As a side note: car can even take a 265 width tire (but on 9" wide wheel with a perfect offset) upfront with no clearance issues when non-lowered.

If you plan on lowering the car, consider 245/275. Also consider the look if your going for a more flush with rim/no bulge. Not trying to confuse you anymore.

No drop. 245/275 will be less aggresive. 255/285 will be beyond the body?

No. 255 will still be "in" - you can use even more aggressive front offset for 100% flush look. 285 on 9.5" et40 is perfectly 100% flush. So what's 1mm? Won't even notice it.
