How old is the average E class owner?
#101
The over 51 group is most probably the least represented on the internet. I would also add that the younger group are most likely to be enthusiasts and are over represented on forums such as these.
That being said, I would think the largest ownership group would be over 51, would tend to keep their cars much longer and drive fewer miles and are more likely to be more loyal to the brand when they trade.
Now I will have to google my assumptions. I am sure the answer is out there.

Then there are old farts like me (69) who if asked 27 yr ago would have been 43, then again at 49 and again at 60, 66 and now. In between I have had a CLK320 and also drive an R170 SLK320.
So age doesn't matter. It's about passion for the brand.

Awesome journey. It's the ride that matters, not the destination. .

I think the average age of this car owners in Europe is higher than in U.S. especially in Germany where MB has reputation of being an old man's car. Young people are more likely to buy a BMW or Audi as to get a sports car as a MB it would cost significantly more than the other two.

Newbie
New Aggressive Styling will attract younger buyers
Daimler has been taking more inputs in design from US executives before freezing the design.
This should allow MB owner's age to drop.

I'm just seeing this poll for the first time. I consider myself a tweener on all things. Not to young and not to old. I always told myself as long as Kobe Bryant is still dominating in the league then I still got it since he's older then me. Welp I guess the party is over cuz he is washed up now Lol. I'm 36 but not quite able to retire a multi-millionaire like he is about to HA HA.

Just to add I bought this E a few days before my birthday so I was 35 at the time. I nice little B Day gift to myself. I could've purchased an E class during my mid 20s but I was in my American car fanboy phase. My first new car that I purchased was a year or so after college and I paid it off in one lump payment at the car lot. It was a 2005 Ford Escape.

Maybe most old timers (men/ladies) just drive their E and don't frequent MBWorld, so it's likely a lot more of them out there and the poll would not reflect the true stats?

Lots of them
Many years ago someone asked George Romney, Pres. of American Motors, if it bothered him that most Ramblers were being driven in the slow lane. He said he didn't care as long as there were lots of them.
In other words, as long as lot of people are buying the cars, does it really matter how old (or young) they are?

Early 30's over here. My wife and I bought a new GLK 3 years ago and it was our first MB. Our dealer here is great so it and the love of that car made us MB enthusiast. We then bought a new 14 E550 and it's been our favorite car so far. I will tune this car soon but I'm also very interested in going with an AMG model. Just something about having an AMG that I want to experience.

Mid 30's here. A first time Benz owner. Bought the car on my birthday this year. Worked the daily grind all of my life to save up money and still doing so. Once you go Benz, you don't go back.
