You could consider having your OEM grill painted or Plastidiped.

For the less than $300 cost for a new grille I would not pain the original. It is good to have the OEM grille as it would be better to reinstall when car is sold or traded later on.

Plasti-dip is not a good option if you live in the north where the roads are regularly salted, graveled, and, sanded. The plasti-dip is no match for the small impacts from debris and looks terrible quickly. Paint holds up better, but still chips easily.

+1....
I have painted mine twice now......looks much better than the AM star grill you're likely to find on mentioned sites.....
mine was taken apart; as it separates into two pieces, and was painted....

of course the factory one will show it's chips.....hence having mine redone a second time.....BUT, it didn't bug me because I have two 'spare' grills for my 550 so there was no down time........

good luck with the project
