2010 E350 4matic CPO....or should I say POS!

Bought a 2010 E350 4matic Certified Pre-Owned with 44k miles. 1st day of ownership a rattle in the front left started. I took it in and it needed new struts/shocks. Day 2, the belts were squeaking like crazy. Took it in and they put some cleaner on the belts. It went away for day 3. Day 4, it came back but worse so I called them. They scheduled me an appointment to come back in a few days later to leave with them. In the mean time, there is a loud whining noise that started and it got louder/worse as speed raised and quieter/better when speed decreased. So took it in immediately without appointment and dropped it off. 2 days later they call me and tell me it needed a new transmission and transfer case and of course new belt. Now I have what I think is tire or brake noise when slowing down between 40-20mph. Im starting to think the dealer did not take all the steps necessary to sell the car as CPO. Im hoping all the problems are ironed out cause I like the car. Anyone else have the noise when slowing down? Its like a slight moan and vibration.

I had the same issue with my cpo e350. It was like a road noise under braking. Dealer said it was from corrosion in the drilled holes of the rotor. They ended up doing a free brake job all around and the problem was gone.

Thanks for the reply. What you describe is definitely what I hear. I will take it to the dealer sometime this week and see what the SA says.

Definitely. Or the bill would have been almost $10K. You pay a little more for the CPO but it's turning out to be well worth it.

CPOs suck. Only thing good about a CPO is you can Lemon Law a CPO car. Keep good records of your visits and if something major can't be fixed in 3 visits, lemon it.

I had a CPO 2008 W211 E350 that I had to lemon because of overheating problems.
