2012 E350 Bluetec Update
I bought a CPO 2012 E350 Bluetec 7 months ago (had 9,000 miles on the odometer.) Iridium Silver P1, comfort seat, distronic, pano roof, black interior.
I've put about 20,000 miles on it since then. I average about 40,000 miles a year. 95% highway, 5% city.
Issues: no mechanical issues. I had a annoying rattle/creak in the instrument display but a quick trip to the dealer (and some foam strips) solved that. I don't like the run flats (somewhat harsh on rough roads) and will be replacing them soon.
MPG: this is where I've been amazed. I always read that diesels got better than advertised mileage but I was not expecting this. Using pen and paper (not the trip computer) I've average 37.8 mpg over the last 7 months. I routinely achieve 40 mpg on certain highway runs. My best tank so far was 41.7 mpg. This is my first diesel.
When I took it in for the 20,000 mile service, only 2 gallons of urea were needed, confirming that highway cruising uses much less of the stuff than city driving.
Driving impressions: I've driven BMWs for the most part (my fav was my e39 540i) and while certainly not on par with their handling and even weight distribution, the E is a great cruiser and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The E is quiet and comfortable although I do wish it had ventilated seats.
The trunk is huge!
I'll check in again at 50K.
I guess my driving must either be more city or more agressive than your, or perhaps a little of both.
Monday I did a 500 mile highway trip, and was really looking forward to checking the mileage on a trip where I put her up on the highway, set the cruise to 72 and burnt the day. Unfortunately, I was fighting heavy headwinds all day, and only got about 29mpg. Hopefully the return tomorrow will be better.
All in all, every day I am more in love with the car. I just had my one year anniversary, and have put 20K on her.

Thank you for your response and more details on the car. Different woofer size should make noticeable difference in sound quality. You'll love the baby for a long time come!

I put 2 1/2 gals of fluid in at 10K miles (didn't fill the tank) and I'll add another 2 1/2 at about 15K miles. It's at most a 10 minute job with a friend....it's only minutes if you fill at at truck stop, but I want to know exactly what goes in just in case there is a problem.
Plus, it meets all emissions and improves fuel economy. Try doing that with a gas engine.

Where do they claim that?

You cannot get that kind of torque out of my older 648.961 straight six 3.222 cc engine, yet alone the 3.0 L V6.
How can Brabus honestly claim that much factory advertised torque increase by some 200 ft/lb?

What mine did on the dyno is posted below.
I was surprised to see some 15 + ft/lb pounds over the stock advertised figures.

I just filled my W-211 nine hours ago. It took exactly 19.8350 gallons filled up to the brim
( I could not put in any more without it spilling over) for 693 miles.
That figures out to 34.938 miles per gallon.
The dash computer showed 37.1 mpg for 693 miles at an average speed of 36 miles per hour.
BTW, that is the closest the dash computer has ever been with the actual tank mileage.
You might want to take the time and trouble to view my Fuelly entrees for the last 29305 miles.
The last test was for nineteen (19) days and of course included many cold starts and some in the city driving.
Oh and the car was filled at the same station both times with the car at the same pump with
it facing the same direction at that pump. About as accurate as I know how to make it.
I did not make an efforts to 'baby-it' either.
Had I done so, you would see reading up into the mid 37 to 38 mpg range.
