OEM Roof Rack
I'm trying to get a jump start on spring. Now I do not own a w212 I own a C207...which I personally still believe is a legitimate Mercedes Benz E Class.
I'm looking for someone that has purchased an OEM Roof Rack which uses the special doors provided with the Pano Roof. (I know Hyperion that you have or had the OEM rack. As quickly as you go through cars...I'm kinda half expecting that you now drive an SLS Black Edition...Bright Yellow)
Ok...now to the reason for this post. I just ordered a 12 foot Kayak. I is extremely light at 40 lbs for a 12 footer. Weight should not be a problem for the OEM rack If there is anyone out there that uses an OEM rack system I would love to gain from your expertise.

I get to drive one in April at Road America
I think you'd be fine with the basic roof rack carrier.......
you're right, I do have it and the coffin too, which has to be around 40 lbs....
my 550 will be up for sale in the summer: complete with roof rack, coffin and four sets of wheels.......oh and the glowing side mirrors of course
