2014 E Class front grill

It appears that 2014 will have the STAR grill on it . Think that the new grill would fit my 2012 E350? I know that this is probably a long shot but don't want to buy aftermarket grill if there is a possibility. Will wait and see.

I don't think it would be a direct swap as I did in my car . Avantgarde to Elegance grill . Still, I believe this can be done but needs major labor including headlamps , bumper covers because look at the top corners of the new Avantgarde grill , they are kinda different than present W212s

What is wrong with the after market grille? I bought one from 55Tech and it fits perfectly.

It would be nice to get the '14 e350 sport with the star on hood. I don't know why you can't configure it that way. I like the star on the hood, but don't want the softer/non-sport version. Urgh.

Sounds like a good idea.

I know you can order a C300 Luxury with a star Sport Grille as an option. So I bet they offer the same on a Luxury E350. You never can tell about their marketing.

I've been inching closer to a sport model 2014 e350 and in the dealers ordering guide and in talking to my local MB dealer, I can substitute the Luxury grill with the hood star ( for a few extra $$$ I'm sure).

'Cause I too am not a fan of the Star Grill, looks too much like an overweight C class.

for sure the 2014 grill won't fit on the pre-2014 E's. the entire front needs to be changed in order for the grill to fit.

This is great news. I think the Star Grill looks great on the AMG... way better than the Star on Hood... But for the E350 and 550 Sport, and wagons, the star on hood is best. Although the wagon can go either way IMO... the wagon is more on the sport side.
