Adblue Tank

Had not even thought of that but excellent question.
I see you are VW guy. Right now the Jetta/Golf doesn't need DEF but the Passat/Toureg do need right?
Any idea if it's based on car size or engine size?
Had 3 cars now with AdBlue and not scared of it at all. But would be nice without...

Assuming they are keeping the BLUETEC name ...
You will most likely find that AdBlue tank sits in the sparetire well.
I fill that up every 10k miles for my E350. Since the engine is now downsized from 3.0 to 2.1L, I am hoping the new one will last longer.
Buy the AdBlue with the special filler from VW/MB dealer and then refill it with PEAK DEF 2.5 Gallon Pack from Autoparts stores.

The DEF i really am not concerned with at all, would just like to have space for a spare tire. I'll drive the E250 in October or so but not sure if it really convince me to trade up. 4matic isn't a necessity for me...

Yeah gotta love the torque from these engines. I do mostly highway which I understands uses less DEF.

If spare tire is your main concern then have one of these kits in the trunk

I believe they are both run-flat safe. Just the tip the tire repair guy better for spending extra time cleaning up.
