2013 E350
Question Rear Parking Sensors - Which Package?

First of all I'm a long time lurker turn first time poster as I took delivery of my new 2013 E350 two days ago. I'm happy as can be!

I did not even notice during test drives that the backup camera does not have guide lines, nor can I find any evidence that I have rear parking sensors?

I have the P1 package, sport package, and the lane tracking package.

I'm a little shocked there is no reverse parking sensors - it's not the end of the world I just assumed it would have them.

Is there a possibility they are just disabled somehow or are they part of a package I do not have?

Thanks!

Welcome, happy driving
W212 E Class don't come with the guide lines not a deal for me but some MB cars come with these
Lacking of rear parking sensors has nothing to do with the parking guide lines but that's strange I assumed all the W212s come with the rear parking sensors

Congratulations on the new car! yup, I have a '13 P1 without backup sensors. Either way, I've had the car for about 6 months and am still excited to drive everyday. I ride my Harley to work once in a while, and am always happy to get back in my Merc the next day.

Can't say for 2013, but Parktronic was a separate option on my 2011 E550 - it was not included in either the P1 or P2 packages. Search the forums here - IIRC someone has posted instructions on how to turn on guide lines for W212 cars with Parktronic. I haven't tried them, but if you have the option, it's worth a try.

On my 2010 E350 no guide lines on the rear camera and no way to turn it on. I think I saw on the MBUSA site that the 2014 E's will have guide lines but only with the Parktronics package.
