The Continentals are quiet and comfortable and perform as well as I need...let's call my driving style "calmly aggressive".
I would consider Continental at replacement time.

I'm on the same staggered setup, and at 16000 miles currently, should get 30-32000 before replacement. My previous W212 had Pirelli P-Zero, and didn't make 20000 before the wear bars were showing.

I had ContiproContact as OEM tires on my last few cars, they are very nice tires for the price. I usually get around 30000 miles out of them. When my staggered set up wear out, I plan to switch over to Michelin Pilot sport.

My only complaint about the Contis is noise, though I'm not really sure if that's the tires brand or just how low profile they are.

I personally would like to move to Michelin as well, I like their product better, it's a little less money and they're more widely available. But the staggered setup messed that up for me.

Precisely - she commutes predominantly on the highway. That makes it easy on the tires and brakes. She does not baby the car and routinely goes above 80 - still the original front brakes lasted over 100K miles.

I don't know but my driving is 85 - 90% highway and best I could get from the factory Continental was around 26000 miles (staggered). It is a huge difference to 60 000 miles...

That's odd. I've put 30k on mine since June and I have plenty of tread left. Maybe the staggered somehow changes it or your driving is different than mine. I consider myself to be a fairly aggressive driver but who knows!
