2014 E Class now buildable at MBUSA.COM
The 2014 E550 is now buildable at MBUSA.COM.
I built one with pretty much all of the features I wanted...
I find the exterior very appealing, more so than the A6 I was also considering.
...but I didn't see the following items:
Heads Up Display
Park Assist Package
Surround View Camera System
Since I'll be ordering for a September delivery, does anyone know if these items will be available by then?

I did not see a diesel option available? That rules the E out for me. I am guessing it will be available later in the year or as a 2015.

According to my copy of the Dealer's ordering guide, those features are not available until after the June production timeframe. I'm now looking for a build during that timeframe, with an August delivery.

I've been doing a ton of reading about biodiesel and how it seems to be taking over due to the increased amount of tax incentives for making it available instead of pure diesel. With MB releasing themselves of warranty responsibility for engine failure on the W212 Bluetec, I'm curious to know how a post-facelift diesel option will play out. Besides, isn't the 2014 diesel a smaller engine than the pre-facelift?
