E200 CGI - Over Heating Issue ??
Hi
I am a newbie in this forum.
I want to know why the temp. instrument always shown about 80C even when I just started to drive the car out of my home.
Is this a normal situation to shown such high temp…..
Even my friend told me this is normal for a MERC and I ask why but no answer.
Your advise will be highly appreciated.

I also have an E200 CGI and mine also sits around 80. Mine rises steadily and can take quite some time to hit 80. I live in England. If you live in a hot country, it may explain why it quickly gets to 80.

Yes Singapore is a hot place but this happened in morning when I just started the engine and within 1 min or so after moving it sit around 80C…. that's show how hot it get and fast.

80C is quite normal from my experience with the gassers. Have diesels that run at 90 here in the states, but those take forever to warm up...
