Automatic high beams on 2014 E-class

Does anyone know how to disable the automatic feature for the high beams on the 2014 E-class?

I know it could be done through the steering wheel controls on last year's model, but the menus are different for 2014 and it's not obvious what setting, if any, will disable the automatic high beam feature.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

In my S it is a menu choice in the Intrument cluster. Also, it is only active when you have the high beams on.

Thanks for your response, ImInPA. It seems that Mercedes changed the menus in the instrument clusters, at least for the 2014 E-class. It no longer has a setting to deactivate the automatic high beams. I've reviewed the owner's manual too and can't find any instruction about deactivating the automatic headlights. I appreciate your response, however.

Here's how...

You move the headlamp switch to the On position, out of the Auto position. The lights will still come on/off automatically based on the light sensor. However, the Adaptive function will be turned off. This also worked for the MY13 but this could also be done in the I/C as you mention. As of MY14, it is done simply with the headlamp switch.

So, in effect the switch now controls only the Adaptive function. Otherwise the On and Auto positions are exactly the same. Good luck

Eureka! Silberra, that's it! Your answer makes the information in the owner's manual now make sense to me though it didn't before. I can't thank you enough for your help. Best regards.
