2014 Polar White E550
Congrats on the nice ride!
Placed an order for a 2014 E550 - Initially offered 5% off MSRP from the first dealer we went into, and ultimately received 10.6% off from another dealer by simply negotiating via email. This is without any discounts/incentives.

We did look up toward Sacramento. 10.6% was the best we found. We thought it was a pretty good deal for such a rare car and it wasn't too long to wait for it.

I hear all these % off sticker deals. How much over invoice is a 10.6% discount. Just curious because I have a E class on order and was able to secure $1000 over invoice and no games on the money factor on my deal.

i would renegotiate when the car comes in. they are only supposed to take (or maybe it's just customary) 1% when you order. for an e350 that is usually only $500. are you going with an e550?
also, MF is a leasing term. why not just rent one off the lot for a potentially better discount?
in any event, only dealers really know what the invoice is. i've heard invoice is anywhere between 5% to 10% off msrp. maybe its really 20% off. it's a moving target for sure, due to mfgr incentives/holdback, fleet discounts, etc.
that is why people refer to % off sticker as the gauge. we all know what sticker is.

PM me, and I'll give you my guys info. I bought two cars from him already at a REALLY good price. I don't get commission, and there's no way possible to give me commission at the price he sells the cars

10.6% is a little bit more than $3,000 under invoice.

Regardless of what was posted above, no one is getting 10.6% off on 2014 E-class. So-called "Costco" prices (these are just about the best one can get on 2014 E350 sedans) are 6% off the sticker (not including destination charge) plus an additional $700 off. So on an average priced 2014 sedan of around $60K, its about 7% off. Please, note that not all will get this pricing at this time (by far, most will not).

2014 E550 Polar White, essentially fully loaded, 10.6% off MSRP. No incentives, no "Costco deals" - we simply negotiated back and forth over email with a few dealers until we received the price we felt was best, and went in for the paperwork.
Not trying to sound competitive, just posted it to help with others' negotiation processes.

Current US stock of 2014 E550 vs. 2014 E350 is about 1:65. Most US dealers do not have one is stock nor even seen one yet. There are ZERO incentives on 2014 US E550s, so at 10.6% off MSRP, a dealer currently makes exactly zero in profits. Why would one dealer do this? My guess is as good as anybody's.

MB holdbacks are normally 3%, but are not automatic. They are attached to meeting some "goals". In any event, the sales staff gets none of that money - the dealership gets 100% of it.

We had 2 dealers offer 10%, and this one topped them at 10.6%. Agreed - your guess is as good as ours as to why/how (we don't know their true profit). But we're happy - and can't wait for her to come in.

Their normal margin is 7% plus 3% hold back. So 10% on a dealership level. There are no incentives for 2014 E sedans (especially E550, as there are under 100 in the US right now). They "sold" the car at zero profit.
FYI: remaining 2013 E-class cars get 10% off plus additional $5K off as there's still plenty of MB trunk money. This comes down to around 18% (plus/minus depending on MSRP - the higher MSRP, the lower %% off and vice versa).
To get 7% on 2014 off right now, one has to be "connected" on a sales level (sales manager, etc.), to get 10% off - we are talking GM level/owner here.
Your case could be due CA market only. I know its impossible in the NE and SE.
