Need help from other 2013 E350 owners in LA/OC area
Hello All,
I'm looking for any and all 2013 E350 Sport (non 4-matic) owners out there who would be willing to meet up with me to compare this noise I am getting when I reach around 8 MPH. The dealer and corporate technical specialist say it's a normal characteristic of our cars, but I don't believe it is because other 2013 E350 owners have told me they don't have the same noise I am getting. I would really like to compare cars in person myself.
It MUST be a 2013 model year, sports model and NON 4-matic.
If in the case that I am able to locate a 2013 E350 owner who does not have the noise I am willing to compensate that owner in exchange for his or her time.
Please PM if you are willing.

Is it that deep knocking/thumping noise?
Why don't you take it to a dealership and drive other 13's with the tech and prove to them that it's not normal? You could even use any other W212 as obviously it wouldn't be acceptable for 13's to all of a sudden have this flaw as "normal".
Unfortunately some tech's don't care about returning business so I'd definitely take it to other dealers and say it's unacceptable to be getting the runaround from other techs as you know a brand new E Class shouldn't be making noises like that.

Dealer says they got the technical specialist involved and they tried other 2013 E350's which also exhibit the same sound as mine. The dealer said some cars are louder than mine and some are not as noticeable. Apparently they agreed that the 2014's don't make the noise as I pointed out, but nothing can be retrofitted and changed out in the 2013's because it is "operating as designed" YET they changed it in the 2014.
Apparently whatever design change they made to eliminate the noise in the 2014's either can't be changed in the 2013's OR it's too expensive to change and MBUSA is unwilling. I did get MBUSA CAC involved and we all know how effective that is.
