2010 E350 Break pad wear?

Hello all! I am hoping for some guidance. My 2010 e350 MB has a break pad wear light on and I assuming I will need to replace rotors, break pads, and maybe even the breaks? How do I figure out what parts best fit my car if I want to order them online? I took it to the dealer but they want to charge me an arm and a leg and I don't feel it necessary to let them overcharge me. Can someone direct me in the right direction?

Thanks.
JA

If you are doing the job yourself, contact some Parts Stores with what you want to do, or contact an Independent MB repair shop for your brake replacement. Brakes are not that hard to do except, through Mercedes, they're expensive.

Measure your rotor thickness. If it is not below minimum you don't necessarily need new rotors, just new pads may be all you need.

I don't know what the minimum rotor thickness is, someone else on this forum could help?

Pads are super easy to change and for those you can buy ceramic pads over the internet. If you need the rotors too they can also be bought over the internet or just go to a car parts store and have them order them for you if they don't have them on shelf.

You also need at least one pad wear sensor as your light is ON. There are only one sensor for each axle, i.e. two total in the car.
