Features that could be added...
I often leave my car in the driveway with the windows down, if it rains I have to remember then rush out and close them. Was thinking it should be possible to connect the windshield wiper rain detector to the window control and close them automatically.
Wondered if others had suggestions for features they'd like MB to consider.

Re: folding mirrors - I agree. I mean c'mon even a cheap-a** Hyundai has them so why won't Mercedes-Benz USA make sure we get the same ones that are on European models?
One more feature - bring back a headlight switch that has an OFF position. The always on auto mode is a PITA.

1) Ability to copy MP3's from CD/DVD/USB/SD to the music register like the manual states its able to do.
2) Radio that will actually mute when navigation system is trying to speak so you can actually make out what the darn thing is telling you to do.
3) Manual that has been proof read. I swear the manual was written by 5 year olds. There are places where it tells you to refer to a certain page, yet that page doesn't exist or is a completely different topic.
4) Make it easier to change head light bulb without having to tear the friggin wheel well lining apart.
5) Fewer squeaks and rattles would be nice
6) Programmable key fobs that remembers seat memory settings. My 1999 BMW 328i had that.
7) Sunroof that auto closes when it rains. My 2007 VW Passat can do this.

DOT does not like motorized things doing anything unless a human causes it. Not saying I agree, that's just their rationale.

The European versions do this. I think it got nixed in the US due to DOT regs (supposedly potential for strangling/pinching someone if they close without human command).

I looked at the MB UK site and sure enough there is a reference to "rain closing feature" for the sunroof (didn't see anthing about windows) in the owners manual. See below...
Rain-closing feature
If the key is in position 0 in the ignition lock or if it is removed, the sliding sunroof closes automatically:
- if it starts to rain
- at extreme outside temperatures
- after six hours
- if there is a malfunction in the power supply
Shame we can't enable it on our US cars.

Wouldn't want this.

BTW, if you want features added to future cars, suggest you look in Operators Manual and call MBUSA customer center OR write to MBUSA in New Jersey. Posting here will not get it added to future cars.
Re; key fobs, I would like to shrink the darn things. I have three vehicles with big key fobs and I can only carry one at a time.
