Installed sound deadening & other stuff

Had sound damping (Second Skin) installed on all flooring --under mats & on interior wheel wells and reachable fire wall. Noticeable improvement. Now there are times when all I hear is the low speed on my climate control fan. Have not done the doors and don't know if I will.
I know that MB installs pretty good insulation @ the factory but wanted to improve on it if I could @ moderate expense. This insulation is not tar based so no smell or mess.
Also had Sport grill installed @ the same time. Tomorrow will p/u hood badge (MB dealer) to replace hood star.
Have now made the following mods: Black/Ash interior.

Mandrus 18" wheels--Mannheim style.
Removed Blue Efficiency badges
Clear front marker lights.
Conti DWS tires.
Replaced A pillar tweeters w/metal dome tweeters.
Floor, wheel well & firewall sound damping.
New STAR Sport grill.
Removed hood star.Replaced w/ flat badge.
Installed Valentine 1 radar detector
Added trunk spoiler.
Mobil 1 0w-40,not 5w-40

I think that will be enough for a while.
For what it's worth. At 10,000 mi.service changed to 0w-40 oil and put a bottle of Techron into gas tank. Noticed 1-2 mpg improvement on hwy mileage. Don't pretend to know what to exactly point to the improvement in mpg. It's just there.

What size are the tweeters that you purchase?
Brand?
Did you install them yourself?

thanks,

didn't catch that you got some Mannheims....those were my first AM wheel, still have them too, they'll always look pretty good on a dark colored car

Metal dome tweeters

Don't have the tweeter specs handy but you can do a search on this site for the info. That's where I got my info. A few answers follow.

You have to replace tweeter with same size as there is no extra room. Believe that they are made in Germany but are available from US supplier. They were less that $100 for the pair. All details for my purchase were on this site search.
Had local tech install them. Slight mod necessary. Took him less than 30 min.

oem tweeters have a paper dome. The ones that I had installed have a metal dome for a more crisp sound.
