Armrest console organizer

Anyone here find the middle console by the driver like a bin for everything in the free world? I'm trying to organize it but can't. Is there an oem organizer or something? What do you guys use to organize it?

It is like a big "catch all" isn't it? But you know what, I just traded from a 2008 E350 to a 2011 E350 and I am so happy with the storage space under the armrest. There was NO storage space in the 08 E350.

To answer your question, no, I have not seen any type of organizer for that storage space but it sure would be nice.

I like the box of kleenex idea. Right now, I just put the kleenex on the floor, behind the driver seat but hate it.

Too funny, I do the same thing with Kleenex in the rear most position but found a couple small office drawer organizing bins at Target for the front. Not great but works for the little stuff. Sunglasses and iPhone charger end up tossed on top.

I just stuff everything in there and in the glove box. An organizer would just take up unnecessary space imo.

If you see the interior of my car, it looks clean and organized but if you open the glove compartment or the armrest storage, it's a whole different world in there.

I'd like to see a useful place to store my sunglasses. I don't like 'putting them back' in the center console every day I use them.

Yeah, a lot of cars, 1/3 the cost of a Mercedes, have a glasses holder in the ceiling, near the rear view mirror.

Instead, Mercedes decided to install the interior light switches, moon roof switches, multiple MBrace switches, and interior lights in such a crowded and incomprehensible arrangement that you nearly drive off the road trying to turn on the reading light for the passenger holding the map.

I went to the container store and bought to metal containers that stack on top of one another. Bed bath and beyond has varies metal and plastic containers as well. I can store chargers, glasses, etc in the lower container and stack the other container on top and store other things

I believe MB has an optional accessory that installs a sunglass holder above the driver seat. This replaces the folding handle bar above the window. I've been meaning to ask about it with my next trip to the dealer.

For my sunglasses, I just use the little bin underneath the drivers seat. It's a nice place to place it.

There should be a fire extinguisher underneath the driver's seat lol
I take my sunglasses with me , never leave them onto the wood trim because I spot some little streaks .
Inside flip side box armrest aka works great but I don't use that area for it
When not in use, I put my sunglass above my hairs lol

interesting thread: so what do you put in the box?
I only have small bills, Smarties, change, gas receipts, trash and who knows what else that I've forgotten......haha....
I don't even use the glove department either....or the seat bins for that matter......never leave my sunglasses behind.....
the box is a perfect size for my 60D also

Sometimes, ice cream .I know that may sound daft but that area is A/C cooled so it keeps some stuff as is lol
Well, shopping cards are always there besides these original MB media cable set that came with that car .

I cut down a couple of plastic boxes to fit. Also, made one out of cardboard to test and it worked so well, it's still in there. Keep my sunglasses in a case at the very back of the bin.
I keep a lot of small items in that bin and they tend to get lost in the big hole. Takes a little thought as to what you want to carry and how big a box it needs.
Most manufacturers have dual level storage -small box on top of larger bin and that works very well.
I keep a small, collapsible umbrella in the space under the driver's seat and one for passenger under passenger's seat.
Have had cars with holders in roof for sunglasses, but they can get very hot on hot, sunny days.

Well, I never knew there was a 'bin' under the seat - will have to check into that.

I just don't like having to keep opening and closing the center console every time I need sunglasses - which is typically every time I get in the car!

Quick access with 'safe' storage is the name of the game!

I have a sunglass "clamp" that clips onto the visor. Seems to work fine for me.

Same here. The only center "storage" in the '08 was the space that the ashtray use to occupy. Removing the ashtray created a nice albeit little storage nook.

Meh - the Coupe (2010) doesn't appear to have this bin under the seat. Glasses clip on eBay I seems...

I don't know if anyone still cares about this but I found a desk organizer that fits nicely into the armrest, assuming you don't have any usb ports or whatever in there like mine.

seems like there should be a way to make the clam shell lid store something more than a pen? Credit card holder perhaps? Change? Ideas

I just got mine today after about 3 weeks. Fits nice and has a removable rubber liner with AMG logo:
Also has a cable slot.
