Got two dings on the left side of car. What to do?

So I got two small dings on the left side of the car just yesterday while I was parked...

Depending on the severeness of the dings, it may take up to a few hundred bucks to fix. Here's the issue. I'm not sure whether this is collision or comprehensive with the insurance, because I've heard that dents in the parking lots can be considered as collision. Also, I have literally just changed my comprehensive deductible to $0 on Monday of this week.... I am afraid that they will say that this is fraud or something.. I also have no proof of this happening (security cameras, witness, etc). My collision deductible is at $500.

Anybody got ideas on what to do? They are really annoying the hell out of me because I can see them every time I get into the car.

Paintless dent removal works wonders. Get an estimate from them before you even think insurance - but yes, parking lot dings that are on your doors are comprehensive.

Dents on bumpers are a different situation as they could be either comp or collision.

Forget the dealer, unless you want to get ripped off. Google "Paintless Dent Repair" in your area and get recommendations as well. Usually each dent should cost you around $30-$40 or a whole panel for around $80-$100.

Paintless dent removal. I own a PDR company and this is an easy fix. Should cost around $100 for both dents. Be sure to get the name of a tech from a reputable source. Paintless dent removal is an art. If you get the wrong guy the results can be disastrous. See who your local highline dealer uses.

Ask the Mercedes dealer. They might be able to recommend you to a reputable guy.

The dealer where I got my car threw in 2 years of PDR coverage when I got my car so I assume they know some reputable guys.

Ask your service advisor who they use. I use the guy my dealer uses and he came out to my office to work on it. an hour and $120 later, he got rid of all the dings in the door. Couldn't tell there was ever anything there.

In SoCal (LA, OC, SD county), I call this guy : Chuck Rice @ 888-420-DENT, many times. He did a good job for dent removal (even my friend's son had a football size dent on the driver door, he did it all, no paint work, the bodyshop want $700.00/1 week work). Give him a try. Good luck.

Best guy to talk to is the used car manager at your Mercedes dealer.

Exactly. I would check Yelp for ratings, reviews and recommendations. Typical pricing is $75 per dent, and since you have them both on the same side, you can probably get a discount. No need to call insurance for this type of thing.

I had this done for 180 for two dings on the fender and door. And I just got someone ramming me in the back bumper while backing up in the car. That ran me a collision deductible because it was a hit and run...........

I've had it with people not respecting our cars!!!!!

He charged $100-150 depend on how deep the dent is (more time to smooth it out). I had a 2 inches deep on the right side on my old W210 (next to the head light), from shopping cart, very difficult to get the tool in, he charge me $150.00, just for that one, but it worth (the body shop want $500.00, one week, drop off Mon pickup Friday), he did it less than 2 hours, look as normal, no paint work. I do not relate to this guy, I am just his happy customer (I had his business card handy, just in case I need him again !!!!). I had called him at least 3 times, for my W208 CLK, W210 E class....), every time it cost a lot less than the body shop estimate, he did it in front of me, in my garage.

DentDOC charge 30-50 bucks a dent and give life time warranty on all paint work. I have had three bumpers with bad scratches and dents fixed for about $285.00 each. They do better work than any dealer recommended body shop. Plus they give the best warranty. The problem is that their work looks better than the rest of the car. My last car (M35) had a nasty dent on the back bumper and a huge scratch from the dealer backing up on a pole before after I test drove. BumperDOCs fixed, clayed and waxed the car. The dealer reported the car looked better then than when it came to the lot. They do dents on any part of the car and make it look easy but more importantly, highest quality.
