squeak here and a squeak there.................

Hi everybody! Just came back from a trip in NY(legit city BTW) and I noticed my damn car is squeaking and groaning from its plastic bits. My question to you guys is, since im going to get my brakes replaced, that I should tell the MB service coordinator about these squeaks/, I'm not sure they will do anything about it since im under the extended warranty. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Mine squeaked and groaned a lot too. Letting the service guys go at it has resulted in some people posting it made it worse. I'd try finding and mending them yourself first. Also simply wait before doing anything. I found mine were occurring on and off a lot of the time.

I have 3 squeaks that come and go. When the weather gets hot or the car sits in the sun for a while the squeaks happen more frequently. The worst squeak is coming from the front of the dash; the black speaker/vent panel next to the windshield. Adding some felt underneath it would probably fix it. I'd do it myself if I knew how to remove the panel.

I would suggest telling the dealer about them. It helps if you can pinpoint exactly where the squeaks are coming from. You can also ask to have the service tech go on a short drive with you so you can have him hear where it's squeaking.
