Unless there's an A/C modification specific to your market, you should start getting cool air within a few seconds of starting the engine.

Guys after i checked with the local MB dealer here in Dubai seems it's a Gulf are specification to have the AC start cooling once the car temp become +50C (122F)

Here in the cold white north (Canada) we even switch on the A/C during Winter to defrost the windows!
I left my A/C on auto climate control and set the temp to 22°C.

I think you try to say that the cooling/heating system will automatically switch to cool the interior if the temperature reaches +50 C???

I'm absolutely sure if you set your system to "AC ON" or "AUTO" and set the temperature to normal comfortable levels the system starts cooling it down immediately after you start the engine. If not then you have a problem and you need to visit the dealer to have it fixed.

Given the high average daily ambient air temp. in Dubai in August, and the likely resulting interior temp., your A/C should start immediately when the engine starts, if you've got it set up properly as for example Arrie is suggesting.

There are many locations here in the States that reach those kinds of temps at times. If MB had an A/C start-delay feature as your dealer is claiming your car has, they wouldn't be selling many cars here.

I'm no expert on MB design variations around the world but, respectfully, in my opinion your dealer is blowing a lot of....well....hot air!

I would check with other Benz owners there and, if you find they're not having this problem, go after the dealer for the necessary repairs. Hopefully there was some kind of a warranty with your purchase.

I'd love to know if what the dealer is saying is really true though and Dubai is some kind of a unique case, so please let us know what happens.

Hope you're able to get it resolved to your satisfaction.
