Driver Assistance Package: using active assists without cruise control?
I plan to order a 2014 mercedes with the driver assistance package. I do not plan to use the cruise control function, can I use the active blind spot assist, active lane keeping assist, and cross traffic assist independently from distronic plus? I am hoping I am able to use the other assist functions without having to use cruise control.
If anyone has any experience or information regarding this, please respond. I look forward to being an active member on this forum once I place my order at the dealer. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can. Distronic is not working until you trigger it. (there is cruise control lever you need to pull) If I recall correctly you can also inactivate from service menu in instrument cluster
