I think people should look at percentage off(%) instead of a $$$ figure off, because that $$$ off depends on MSRP - north of $70K its as much as $12K off; south of MSRP of $60K its about $10K off. On average a great deal is about 17% to 17.5% off, which again depending on MSRP is $10K to $12K off
Amazing discounts on these E350 cars. No other current car in MB lineup (except maybe "old" pre-2014 S-class) gets such a discount in percentage terms.

Nm Dave, u see San Fran. I'm wondering if in the DC area the numbers are any different. Makes me feel like I should've been a little tougher in my negotiations! Still happy I guess. Live my car either way

Since MSRP was $75.7K 5% is actually ~$3.8K off and given that it's a wagon with absolutely no support from MBUSA and I don't have loyalty, fleet, ABA, AMA or any other discount it's not that bad especially here in TX.

I called around and even contacted a few of the suggested references in this thread and it seems like $11K-$12K is very possible, but it just isn't easy to obtain. I walked into a few dealerships and received all the different reasons why $11K or $12K is not possible (ie. must be a demo, they probably bought many cars in the past, there was only one left with an odd color, we can't do it because we will lose money on the deal, dealers will tell you $12K off just to get you in the door, the car probably had 300 or more test driven miles)
I finally located a So Cal dealer that just gave me $9K off a $59.4K car, I'm pretty happy with that deal because I was literally in and out in an hour, no haggling or any games. He told me has a few left he can sell for $8K-$10k off depending on MSRP. Obviously the higher the MSRP the bigger the discounts. PM me for his contact info if you're interested.

I got 12.1k off but if I negotiate even harder I think I should be able to squeeze another 1-200 off but since I am leasing it didn't matter too much...so yes 12k is doable but it really depends on the dealership's situation (whether they need to meet quotas) and your relationship with them..it helps when this is my third Benz within 4 yrs at the same dealership with the same salesperson..

You did you good Dave.
You managed to get key chains too
I suggest going to dealers with 300+ E's on the lot.
Cough cough ... Keyes and Fletcher Jones for SoCal. Be ready to be called a "digger".
