Not nearly enough for all that I get done
But honestly for me its more important to work less and have more time for other things like family, side projects and sports. I'm lucky to be able to get out at 2pm and work from home on Fridays. Money is not that important to me although my salary is quite good so can't complain.

22. I'm a smaller scale real estate developer, building spec homes as well as flipping them; I aspire to be in the commercial development industry later in life, with a goal of developing the first Residences at the Mandarin Oriental Vancouver as well as securing an exclusive agreement for developing MO's in Canada (lofty goal I know ). I also occasionally do some interior design for clients as well as consultation for them.

41, work for the 3D CAD software company SOLIDWORKS. Our software is used to design just about anything. Our parent company Dassault Systemes makes CATIA which is used by many aircraft, automotive, and ship companies. It's also used by McLaren Mercedes to design their F1 race cars!
It's a great company to work for and it's always great to see the products our customers make with our tools. I'm guessing there are a few SOLIDWORKS user on this site.

Seems a few people in the early pages have jobs in the career I'm looking into.

Could any of you guys chime back in,just wondering what you see down the road. Will jobs even be available in the future?

I also read that India is losing out to the Philippines due to the language accent.
IMO, unless you are just starting out (early twenties) it's not easy to succeed in the IT field here in Ontario. With BlackBerry laying off thousands of highly qualified Techs it'll be hard to compete with them in your chosen field if you don't have the qualifications and experience. If you're over 40~50 it'll be even harder to get in.
OTOH, when I decided on a career change at the ripe old age of 52, I took an IT course and managed to get a Tech job in a mid-sized company. But I left that after one year and decided to get into the computer service industry.
That was back in 2003 and today, I have several thousand repeat customers that frequently rely on me to service their IT needs.
So whilst the PC service business is not as prestigious, there is a demand for it and a great opportunity if you want to be self-employed.
However, with the swing towards mobile devices like tablets, smart phones etc, who knows what the future holds!
Cheers.

Where does everyone work?
Just curious to see where all the mercedes-benz owners are employed at or if anyone out there owns their own business.
I'm thinking this could be a good networking opportunity for everyone.
Previously, I owned a Vape Shop/Lounge
Currently, I'm a Business Development Rep at a startup software company out of Silicon Valley

Did accounting and taught high school math and business. Retired in 1995. at the age of 47. I have no need or desire to do anything except for what I want to do. When I get bored doing nothing I find an old car to restore.
