Let me get this straight; folks here still complaining about a seating problem in a car 8 or more years old (last W212 was 2016)?
Buy a new seat cover, from dealer, Richmond Auto Upholstery, or others. For less than $300 and 2 hours of your time, you can do something about it, rather than simply complaining.

Hi
Can anyone please direct me to where I can get a black driver’s seat cover MBTEX that’s not $1000+ that the stealership is quoting me?
I have a 2014 E350 sedan Base model

It says Leather, but they have the MBTEx also. Give them a call.

Right above your post is the recommendation on where to get the seat cover.
Don't bother unless you're replacing the foam padding underneath though; that's the issue that causes the tear to begin with.

I intend to replace both for longevity. Did you also replace yours and if so, how long ago?

I have not done mine yet, but the owner of my shop, a Benz and BMW-only indie shop, told me it was a manufacturing fault that Mercedes hasn't lived up to / covered, and that the real problem is the fact that they messed up the foam underneath the MB-tex (didn't give it enough padding) - so you can replace the cover, but without fixing the padding issue, it'll just keep happening.

But there are several people who I got the recommendation from who had installed them years ago.

It is good enough for me, and it is not the poor quality offered for @$70 on Amazon, or eBay.. is it better than Richmod's? No clue.
One thing though, more pudding, and I followed @nc211 post and added a few zip ties to the seats spring. It took me an hour to replace, no more the eyesore it was, and more comfortable than before

This replacement cover has the visible layer, some padding material, and the pouch for the heater.
Be careful when removing the seat not to pull the heater wiring. Similarly, when getting the heater from the pouches

Thank you. So effectively, this is the fix we all needed...adding padding directly underneath the MB-tex itself. Gonna have to pick up one of these in black! Was it a real pain to do it (an hour I'm happy to invest, but I'm not very handy so feel it may take more than an hour in my case).

You need two torx bit sizes:
1- remove the bolts on each side of the "box compartment" at the front of the seat
2- you will now see a cross bar, the seat is bolted to. There are two torx bolt, head facing towards the carpet. So ratchet and a torx bit are best. When bolts are out, half of the split retainer will come down, and the seat will nearly free
3- do NOT pull seat too far yet since the heater wiring is still attached to the bridge below.
You can follow the video from Richmond, or other out there for the E and C class
NOTE, the new cover padding is not as thick as @nc211 did.

thank you - so in your case, all you did was replace the skin with one you bought on eBay, which came with its own padding? Did you remove the original padding under the seat? How is it holding up? For nc211's post, clearly more involved, but might be worth it to go that way if I have to remove the seat either way?

I put the zip ties. It is trivial once the skinned foam is separated from the frame. Mandatory step anyways to unclip the skin from the foam. You will see as soon as you take the seat out
I have two torn seat bottom black covers. If I just replace the bottom cover, will the colors match? Those of you that bought them from ebay or Richmond Auto, can you comment on color matching please?
