I'm getting a dull thud/thump from my rear axle on my 2010 E63 AMG when going over bumps, specifically depressions such as manhole covers. Doing some detective work last night and it seems like it's coming mostly from the rear passenger side. The reason I think this is that while driving down a street with a bunch of man hole covers, I alternated going over them first with the left side of the car (driver) and then the right side (passenger) and the thud sound was very evident when going over the bumps with the right side and sometimes not at all when going over the same bumps on the left side.

I read through some of the older posts in the W211 forum titled "dead body in trunk" to see if it applied to the W212 model year.

Anyone else experience this or have any thoughts on what it could be?
