E250 Bluetec--1000 mile update
My '14 E250 Bluetec arrived 2 weeks ago and I've put my first 1000 miles on it.

I drove a '12 E350 Bluetec for the last year (my first diesel) as a sort of experiment, not sure of diesel in general but because of my long commute, worth testing out. I found the mileage to be excellent (avg. 37mpg over 45,000 miles) and enjoyed the car overall (it was a little front end heavy and the run flats were terrible--noisy and harsh.)
I ordered the E250 to get leather, cooled seats, better lighting, even better mileage and the new styling which looks much better (in my opinion) than my E350.
I was expecting more of the same, but the E250 has really impressed.
The car feels much lighter, definitely handles better, isolates road noise better (I switched the runflats immediately with 18" AMGs and a set of Michelin I bought on ebay) and the latest generation of tech is even better.
The inline 4 is rougher at idle than the 6 and I hate the start/stop but otherwise I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
I'll provide regular updates and appreciate the info shared here.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Lovely to read another positive feedback on new cars . E350 to E250 kinda downgrade in engine wise but since you're happy with your car that's not a problem ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
You will achieve better fuel consumption as well

It don't think it is that much. My wife test drove one and she liked it better than her 2008 E350

New diesel 4
I was worried about the loss in displacement too but because of the weight savings over the older inline 6, the car feels much livelier.
The old 6 (single turbo) suffered from significant turbo lag and was slow off the line.
The new 4 (twin turbo) is much better off the line and its drivability is much improved.
The only advantage of the older engine is that it is smoother at idle, where as the 4 can be rough. Everywhere else, though, the 4 outshines the 6 diesel.
My average MPG for the first 1000 miles is 38 (pen and paper calculation)! That should improve as the engine breaks in--my 6 did.

E250 Wheel swap?
Great looking ride and thanks for posting your impressions. I plan on doing the same wheel swap myself. If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about selling your stock 17's and how much did you pay for the 18's and sell the 17's for? Are you carrying a tire sealant kit? Thanks and enjoy your new car.
