Volume fades in and out while playing demo CD
Just bought a 2012 CPO E350. When I play the included Harmon Kardon DTS DD5.1 CD, the volume would increase and decrease randomly. Happens both when the engine is off or when it is running. No problem with a regular CD, or any other audio source. What could be wrong? Thanks.

Take CD out and play at home on to check if it has any problem. Generally demo CD moves sound between speakers. So if some speaker doesn't work it can make impression like volume goes up and down randomly. You can also check if you have logic 7 settings on.

Thanks. Tried again this morning, and I could not get the sound to fade in and out on that disc. Strange. I tried it in my garage with the engine off. It was a cold night, so not sure if temperature has an effect. I remember when it was misbehaving, the fading occurred at random times and not repeatable, so I don't think it was due to some speakers being off.
Now I see a different problem, after playing the disc for 2 to 3 minutes, the Comand system will shut off after displaying the message that it will now shut off. The engine was not running. Does the system turn itself off after a while, when the key is in the ON position but engine not running?

The problem has no solution at this time. When you have the phone paired up with Comand, via bluetooth, and you play the dts DD5.1 demo disc, the volume will vary randomly. This happens on 2012 and 2013 E class.
