MPG in the review was not very impressive, similar to the more powerful Audi A6 TDI and BMW 535d. Curious as to what type of driving the reviewer did to get that mileage, as I think the E250 can do a lot better than that.

I wonder too. I didn't pay attention to the mpg the 1st 1000 miles (when I was in Germany), I wonder if it's lower at first?
Around town my E250 is solidly in the low 30's. And solidly in the low 40's on the interstate. I'm almost to 5000 miles now.
