Pre Paid Service
How does the pre-paid service plan work? I was quoted $699 for a two service plan and $999 for a three service plan both at 30% savings.
Can someone tell me if these prices seem good? How does it work? Say if you bring the car in for service on the two service plan that costs $699 and you only spend $500 on service, or if you spend $800 on service, how does that work?

I believe the plan I purchased in 2010 was about $750 for three years - A, B, A. There are no refunds. You could ask dealer what they charge for each and then compare that to cost for the plan. However, this doesn't address increases in dealer prices or MB parts prices.
The plan is through MBUSA and not a specific dealer, so it is honored by all MB dealers.
Also, it only covers what is listed in Maintenance Manual as Required services. However, my dealer also covered recommended. Example, on cars with Luxury suspension, tire rotation would cost extra.
You have to purchase it before the first service is required.
If this is about your 2010, that is an entirely different matter.

Prepaid service makes especially good sense if you lease. The cost can be amortized into the lease, which means (in some cases) you can pay as little as 30% of the listed cost. This depends on the residual of your lease, however.
