Is parts man just blowing smoke
So I found a small cut in my passenger seat, it is in the crease of the back and the actual seat so not very noticeable but I want it fixed anyway. So I went to the parts department at the dealership and after giving him the VIN number he found the replacement for the cover of my seat. The cost 1200 dollars. I asked him 1200 for the Mbex (I think that is the fake leather name) seat? He informed me no you have the top grade leather in your car. He went on to say yours is not even the cheap leather that They put in some cars, it the higher option grade. I was not aware Mercedes had an optional leather, and I think he just said this to justify the very high price of one seat cushion. Am I correct or is there actually different leathers for these cars.
