Strange Noise
Hey guys,


It has been very cold the last couple of days. I haven't driven my 350 this week. Tonight I went out to get something from the car and pressed the unlock button on the key fob and heard a strange noise from the trunk area. It also happens when I lock the car using the key fob. As I face the rear of the car, the noise seemed to come from the right side of the trunk. Is the mechanism that locks the trunk on this side? I'm thinking it may be related to the single digit temperatures? Any thoughts on what this could be?


I will take it to the dealer this weekend.

It could be the gas door locking/unlocking.

I noticed this too! I think it's coming from my rear passenger door when locking it makes an awfully loud noise. I have an appt. at the dealer on Tuesday, will ask then...

No air suspension on mine. The noise is difficult to describe but is loud as tk9 mentioned.

I'm no longer experiencing the noise when opening the door via the key fob. I really think it was related to the cold weather.


Are you guys still having the problem?
