Dumb BMW driver!
In the end, if you happened to lease it, it makes no difference. Turn it in (fixed obviously). Beauty of leasing right there. No diminished value to worry about since it's not your car.
If you bought it, and the car is fairly new, you can file a DV claim with her insurance too. I did that way back in 2001 and it worked out well.
Just out of curiosity is there anyone who has claimed this and actually got a return from the insurance company.
LOLShe had a nice car (2011 328i convertible) most likely paid by "daddy" or "sugar daddy" hahaha
Okay let's say they have to replace the whole bumper is there anyway I could make them change it to a E63 bumper

Regarding the driver, she could be Mother Teresa for all we know, but if one wants to make safe bets... Or maybe I am just jaded living in the land of spoiled kids and similar with monstrous entitlement mentalities.
a survey of this tiny sampling of E owners in this board showed that a significant number were given E's as first vehicles, as teens. with subsequent rims/tints/trim/exhaust. Even a teen that totals two vehicles before the age of 19 can simply get another, even more powerful, replacement E.(lordy what mumsy must pay for THAT insurance!?)
I don't understand the whole E-for-a-teen phenomenon as what teen in his/her right mind would choose an old man's sedan anyway??
My daughter attends a ~$60k/prep school and the requisite gift for a 16yr old is a lexus rx350 for girls or a bmw335 for boys. kids arent allowed to have cars on campus, so these vehicles are presented(bows and all) and then whisked away again. To kids who fly home for holidays on private jets, this is not a big deal. We're rather on the other end of the income spectrum for this institution.
My girl asked for a 1990 F-150(she's a bit of a contrarian), until I informed her she had to buy her own insurance and gas...now a used prius or vw is her goal. I'll help pay for it (half?), but she needs to learn the value of working for something. As others have said, there's alot to be said for owning a progression of beaters before getting your first real car. Everybody seems to have fond memories of the clunkers they bought, fixed, ruined and replaced.

Gone way off topic, sry OP...do hope u get your car back and its perfect...
Thats what we did for our 3 kids...we paid half for their first car, capped at 2000, and 1/2 for insurance while still in school... Also 1/2 for college...sounds crazy but thats about 1/2 of what most of our friends did
and 100% more than my wife and I got....not sure when and how this all happened, but it somehow happened
Parents are enablers im afraid, even if I could afford a new E for each of them, I would not....that said kudos to those whose parents gave em one. Enjoy

I'm so glad I turned her $500 offer down. But her being so young and actually leaving her info and coming back was surprising.
