2012 E Class gas cap replacement

Hi,
I need to replace the gas cap of 2012 E 350. I am having hard time figuring out how to take the gas cap strap out. It is fitted with a plastic head. Should I just pop it out with a screwdriver? I I tried with gentle pressure and it didn't work. Didn't want to break it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi. Tried to find it on YouTube but no luck. Best bet call the dealer and ask the parts dept, they should be able to explain how to replace the gas cap with out breaking it.
Good luck!

Found the solution

It is like S class someone posted in a different thread. The plastic head of the strap retainer has a small plastic pin in the middle. Push with a paper clip and it comes out through the back part and the head comes out.

To put it back, put the head through the hole in the strap and then push the plastic pin through the hole in the middle.

Thanks!
