ECO Shut-Off?

love my new 2014 E350 , (except for the CAN noise after vehicle shut-off - from those great headlights); - but, does anyone know how to shut off the ECO system other than using the ECO button every time the car starts up?

Is there a way through the SYS or other software that this can be re-programmed off then on again as a user might wish?

There is no known coding to set ECO default mode to off.

I wonder if it's a Federal "regulation"? Just took delivery of my new "d" a week ago (I totaled my Bluetec) and it's set up to default to the last setting. One less thing to worry about. Perhaps the feature's *presence* allows a car maker to post higher city mileage numbers but having it default to "on" doesn't seem to be required.

*Yet*,at least.

by coding to last time used. If you turned if off last time you drove car, it would continue to remain off next time car started.
