Future of E550 4matic in Canada

MB Canada market many of their cars with standard equipment which are options in the US. This is the way they chose to market and sell the cars in Canada.

Can any of the Canadian members on this forum verify MB Canada has decided to discontinue this model in the Canadian lineup going forward?

Thanks

Do non of the Canadian members to this forum not know what the future is in Canada for the E550 4 Matic going forward?

I was wondering because Mercedes Canada do make different decisions on their model ranges than the U.S.

I hate to ask the obvious but would not a quick call to your dealer answer the question? I doubt it will be available as the US is dropping it and they are the large market.

They are dropping the 550 from the sedan in the US next year, but not the coupe. They say that the "take rate" for the 550 in the sedan is low, while it's higher in the coupe.

I'd guess the US market is bigger than Canada's so if there aren't enough people buying the 550 in the US I would think there must be less in Canada?

Not necessarily, many of the car lineups in Canada have completely different standard equipment setups to the US. Canada seems to makeup their own lineup with Germany. This is why I was asking if there is anyone in Canada who knows if Mercedes Canada has made the same decision as the US to discontinue the E550 sedan 4matic?

I'm not in Canada right now or I would call my dealer. I thought if some one already knew the answer it would satisfy my curiosity.

E550 sedan remains for Canada, at least for MY15.
