E 250
Realtime MPG display

Any idea why this display maxes out at 40 mpg? This seems really dumb since the car (E250) is quite capable of higher mileage.

Does anyone know how to reset this display to max out at a higher mpg?

I do not think its possible. even in the road and track prius vs e250 article they mentioned the prius shows a graph of 0-100 mpg vs the MB 0-40

BMW 5er
probably didn't think to change it just for the e250. the other models don't go up that high. they should have, though - and it would be better as a digital number read-out.

i just use the eco bars and the trip information which gives the mpg in a sort-of-instant manner. i'm about done playing with it, though. i've had the car for 5 months, 5000 miles, and i'm real happy with the mileage. i get the sense things will start to get fairly routinized from here out. wash/clean, rotate tires, do the maintenance plan, etc. etc. for many a year to come....

My 2012 E350 BlueTec does not max out at 40MPG, it goes higher! E250 should go higher as well.
