Service message on Dash "B1"

Google B1 service, tons of information.
Basically its a bi yearly service. Dealer does a bunch of inspections and charges you for anything they need to do above the initial inspection. I came to the conclusion that it's nothing but a $500 oil change. I'm sure others will disagree.
I had the dealer do the oil change for $99. They had a special, and I did the inspections myself.
Youtube and you will be able to reset the B1 service message. It's easy to do.

i have b5 shown recently and dealer quoted me this: brake fluid service($160); air filter replacement($140); transmission service($525). The Service B is $550.
i have less than 16k miles on my car. do you guys think i need all that? i have yet asked around from some indy shops. afaik, one of the shops only charges $260 for service b. but not sure they'll do everything like what the dealer mentioned.

If you have the 7G transmission you need a flush ever 40k miles. If you have the 7G+ transmission then it's every 70k miles.
In the US, MB started using the 7G+ on E class in 2012 MY.
