I asked an SA about this yesterday and he recommended getting clear ceramic tint on windshield. Said it works great and no hassle of putting up sunshade. Cost may be close. Haven't looked into this though.

I've had the same one for almost four years, one from MB, it's thick, durable and fits most models as far as I know......IMO it's worth the price you mentioned.......
