Hi to all

It is my first visit to this nice forum
I have 2010 model e300
Early morning I hear short knocking voice for 2 seconsds only looks coming from the lower right side ....
It will appear again whenever I leave the car to cool down (Stop it for two hours).

The sound is not from the camshaft
It is not a sound of metal touch
It is a thick voice like a valve or pipe or exauhst manifold. Looks not coming from inside the engine ..... It is coming from the lower right side of the engine as humering on plastic table

Any one can have an idea about that

Computer check gives all or OK

The car is perfect during the day without any sounds as all as excellent performane

I just bought a 2010 E350 and am new here on the forum. Mine does it also & it bugs the heck outa me. Once the oil pressure builds up its gone.

So, still the cause is not clear… .!!!!
While I dont think it is due to oil pressure build up, since, some times I switch off the car for 2 hours to have the voice again once igniting!!!!

My main doubt is that the manifold-engine connection is a bit lose!!
