Tyre pressure
I have an e350. I recently had a nail in my tyre and had to get a repair plug put in.
I think i have a tyre pressure waring system, not sure how it works, never seen it give me readings or warnings!!
It is 'on' in the options menu. Do I need to do anything to activate it, more importantly, I had the plug put in with a new valve, and wheel balancing. Should i have had it done at an MB dealership.
Help and advice appreciated.

What is your location?
If you are in the US, you require a sensor be installed with the new valve.
If you are in Canada, there is no sensor for the TPMS, as it is the indirect kind which uses the ABS to determine how fast a wheel is turning to tell if a tire has lost air.
I'm not sure about other countries.
Take a look at your valve stems on your other tires. If they are metal, you require sensors. Otherwise, if it is rubber, you do not.

How low did the tire get? For a tire plug, they probably could have left the existing sensor and valve in there. Other tpms systems I've used alert you when a tire has lost 25% or more of pressure fro the original set point. You can reset the set point using the cluster menu.
