ML wheels on an E350?

Found some 20" factory wheels from an ML 350 with 265/35 rubber all the way around. Will they even fit on my E350 or just a bad idea all the way around? I am new to the MB, coming form a BMW 5 series that have 19" wheels. And yes, ride comfort does matter to me. Don't want to be subjected to a super harsh ride, but would not mind getting rid of some of the "plush" feel I am getting now. Thoughts?

The wheels might work but the tires are way too tall.

Tall or wide? 35mm is not much sidewall height, at least in my book.

The AMG cars usually run a 255 tire on a 19 inch wheel in the front - and they have slightly wider front fenders. So I don't think a 265 tire on a 20 inch rim will fit on a standard E350.

The wheels may fit - but you have to get the correct size on the tires.

Good luck!

The sidewall isn't 35mm tall, it's 35% of 265mm = 92.75mm

yep..you're right.

Smaller tires...both ways in order to give it a go.

The circumference or diameter of the current tire and wheel combo has to duplicate the replacement. I believe the diameter of the E350 4Matic tire is 25.7" whether it is the 17" or 18" wheel. The profile is the difference. the profile is the percentage number after the width and before the wheel diameter. You can research the diameter by looking up your present tire on Tire Rack. If the lug bolt pattern is not the same on the ML wheel it may not fit. Screwing around with different size wheels is fine for tuners but is probably not what the car was designed with in mind.

245/40 R 18 97V

245 width of the tread, 40 ratio, R for radial (redundant as they are all radials) 18 wheel diameter, 97 load rating in this case 1690 lbs, V speed rating V is 149mph. Tires also have markings for treadwear, traction and temperature range.
