Flag on the play for not changing the filter.

The first time I did the lysol treatment I did spray into the blower after removing the air intake cowl. But while that helped for a little while it didn't completely go away until the filter was changed.

This time I am trying to catch the smell early on before it gets too bad. And because of the filter being the lingering issue last time, I thought I would attack that first. So this time I didn't spray into the air intake. Instead, I removed the filter from under the dash and sprayed the filter media directly and then sprayed a little into the opening where you insert the filter with the car off.

Would this filter thing be covered in the MB maintenance plan?

I use the crisp linen scent (link to product at walmart) as that's what we have around the house. If you are just spraying the filter, I would think something like febreeze would work also.

I watched this video and bought the Kool-It for $12.00 (called Lubegard 96030 Kool-It Evaporator and Heater Foam Cleaner on Amazon).
