need help ASAP.
my wife's 2011 e350 bluetec is not starting...
my wife tried to start it few times but failed today and it said something like ... 'active lane keeping assistant inoperable...'
any thoughts? (I asked her to call roadside assistant meanwhile...)

When you have one thing happening and you get an error message indicating something that seems unrelated, you probably have some electrical issue....and calling the dealer is exactly the right thing to do.

so what happened?
I had to jumpstart my battery the other day and the car gave me an srs malfunction message on previous start attempts. Once it was jumped and running fine, the warning went away and has not returned.
